Here is the guide for troubleshooting excessive noise coming from the Airdog Air Purifier
1. Have you cleaned the unit yet? If not, please try to clean the unit, and following the video instructions:
Please note that it is important to wash/clean the rubber sleeves where the collecting plates and emitter wires are sitting on.
2. Once you washed everything, please make sure everything is fully dried before you turn on the unit. The collecting plates some time is hard to dry…One way to make sure it’s dried is to put it on top of the unit and turn on the unit, let the fan to blow it for 24 hour. This way, we would make sure that collecting plates are completely dried.
3. If you have tried the above two options. Please try to take out both collecting plates and emitter wire frame and see whether the noise is there… If there’s no noise, try to put the emitter wire and collecting plates into the unit one at a time and see which one would make the noise. And then please let us know your findings and we could help further.
The above three points solves the most noise (popping/sparking) issues, please try it and let us know how it works for you.
Furthermore, you can also review the attached pdf file which has detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot the excessive noise issue emitting from the air purifier.
